#129442 - the true "bitch" and a request Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you buy an oscilloscope probe, be certain that it is complete and intact. There are lots of probes being sold, which lack the hook-clips because they've been lost or damaged. An oscilloscope is difficult to use without them, as these are required to attach the probe to an IC pin or test point. Be certain, also that there is an adequate ground strap with the probe as well. The hook clip and the ground strap are often missing, and the probe is useless without them
this is the true "bitch". If any quality maker of oscilloscope probes would make available a ~$5-$10 "accessory kit", I imagine all other manufacturers would go out of business. I believe that we here have tens of perfectly good probes laying around where the 'clips' are broken or missing, alas, in that case you have to buy a complete probe. (please note that the scopes here "go on field trips" we are not5 THAT careless) Erik If anyone know of a quality maker of oscilloscope probes that has an "accessory kit" available, Please post in bold letters the manufacurers name and address. |
