I write 00 55 AA and FF to all locations and read them back. No problem.
My question van I rely on this test or do I need a more sofisticated test. Almost certainly! eg, this doesn't tell you that writing to one location doesn't corrupt another... See Richard Erlacher's reply: http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=131751 I found some tests in C.
I'm looking for a ASM version. If you understand what the tests do, it shouldn't be hard to implement the same in assembler - just take the 'C' as a detailed specification for your assembler code! It's still just about reading & writing to & from addresses, whatever language you use! |
