You can also get Serial-to-Ethernet converters - either as off-the-shelf, boxed products or modules to embed into your 8051 sytems.
Search for "Device Server" or "Terminal Server" or just "Serial-to-Ethernet" Lantronix & Digi spring to mind, but there are many others. How about Bluetooth? |
