#137377 - Same problem - with setup details - HELP!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Upon connecting the board, the device is 'recognised' as an "Unknown Device", with the following parameters found through a usb debug utility:

Device Descriptor:
bcdUSB: 0x0000
bDeviceClass: 0x00
bDeviceSubClass: 0x00
bDeviceProtocol: 0x00
bMaxPacketSize0: 0x00 (0)
idVendor: 0x0000
idProduct: 0x0000
bcdDevice: 0x0000
iManufacturer: 0x00
iProduct: 0x00
iSerialNumber: 0x00
bNumConfigurations: 0x00
ConnectionStatus: DeviceFailedEnumeration
Current Config Value: 0x00
Device Bus Speed: Low
Device Address: 0x00
Open Pipes: 0

The chip installed is labelled as AT89C5131-IM on the chip, and AT89C5131A-IM on the PCB. The USB and power lights are lit ok.

I am using a new DC 6V power supply for the board (board has 7 - 12v label on power supply, regulator is 7805 (5v) - shouldnt affect anything should it?), and attempting to install under windows xp.

This is my first venture into embedded device programming, so any help would be very much appreciated!!!
