what do you need an IDE for????
you will, of course need an assembler/compiler/linker, but why concentrate on the IDE? Can't you figure out how to do things with tools that work instead of a 'package' where half is good? What is "the Good IDE"? A lousy compiler and a great editor? An assembler with errors and a good simulator? This IDEiotic approach makes me barf. These IDEs force you to use stuff that, at best, is only marginally acceptable. How does the Keil editor match up to CodeWright?. How does any simulator match up to any ICE?. IDE 'interfaces' to ICEs 'fall apart' all the time. Erik |
