It looks as though it has a read and a write signal, and a command/data tag, along with 8-bit data, power, and gnd. The "usual" E strobe isn't there, and is apparently deduced from the presence of either the read or the write strobe. That just makes it more convenient for 805x users. It doesn't look unidirectional at all.
