Read the datasheet & then see if you can really generate the read/write cycles through your firmware.
Instead of using such RTC(1 you are using) try to change it to one which needs less port pins. DS1307 is a good option, it can be interfaced using I2C. If your MCU has inbuilt I2C engine, make use of it.(Even if your part is not having I2C, you can still impliment it through firmware) Regards, Mahesh |
