Just to keep you posted, at the moment after an initial garbage O/P from the LCD, it then O/P's what I expect i.e.
TX 1240.0 but then reads the next line in the table and O/P that i.e. 1240.5 and so on untill it gets to the end of the table...then garbage again untill it O/p's the correct values again but continues to read the whole table again from the begining.
The initial idea was to enter the table at a specific point and just read that line of text i.e.TX1235.5. The entry point being derived from the acc which was just counting up and down, the direction being controlled by a couple of S/W's
Now, I am posibly not understanding something here but reading from the instruction set I was under the impession that the MOVC A,@A+DPTR would take itself to the line which was pointed at by the initial value in the acc. If I have explained myself correctly and you both understand why at this stage does it just jump to the first value in the table and not what is pointed at from the acc in the first place?
