j.guy: bad solution for FIXED length strings. you're just wasting codespace on ADDITIONAL unnecessary tables. that's a lot of programmer typing too. :)

if you argue that the table size is small, you don't need to be loading the dptr; instead load the A register and increment a Ri byte pointer instead of a word length dptr pointer.
