#159663 - Drivers
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I used the 16 bit constant current driver chip TB62706BFG with no multiplexing and used various colors Superflux LEDs. I pump 30mA in each LED and I use PWM to control brightness with an I2C light sensor TSL2561.
The dial LEDs are 5 in series each dash and I used higher drive voltage 19VDC with series resistor to match the voltages for other colors because RED LED has Vf of 2VDC while Green LEDs have Vf of 3.5VDC.
I made a PCB with black soldermask and discovered later that my LEDs are not UV protected. The UV will destroy the epoxy glue inside the LED so I had to put Lexan Excell-d plastic sheet which has ultraviolet protection with high cost for I was running out of time.
I've been working real hard for the last month chasing people and doing hardware and software myself at the same time.
Glad it is up and running.
