Nice shot, what a catch. I agree with that.

The only way to have Zero Pollution is to use a zero crossing On/Off triac driver opto.

But he can't use zero crossing triac driver here because he has to turn the triac ON at midway or whichever time he decides.

So he is bound to have half pollution.

I think he use some other method to avoid RFI.

Try application notes on different sites for using triacs avoiding RFI.
