If the table to be leveled is not subject to acceleration via (1)lateral movement to the right or left, or (2) via yaw rate multiplied by speed in the forwar or backward directions, then you can use a pendulum-based sensor rather than a solid state accelerometer, or rotating mass type vertical gyro (single axis or two axis). The only thing you'll need to concern youurself with is whether static friction in the pivot is high enough to corrupt your level measurement. If the pivot has high friction, you might try increasing the pendulum weight to reduce its effect Cheers, Bruce |
