#27185 - RE: Just had a job interview.... |
The second interviewer probably didn't want me as I came from a higher-paying company. I did partly answer most of his questions, but he wouldn't give me time to finish thinking them out, and would press the next one on me prematurely.
One problem that I've seen a lot is that a lot of employers (or maybe better interviewers) want something (an engineer with the talent of God) for nothing (Burger King hourly rates). In the interview, after they figure out you can do the job but you want too much money, they do anything they can to disqualify you. Obviously, this is NOT a place you want to work. I've been on several interviews that were like that. On one ocassion, I stood up in the middle of the interview and informed the interviewer and the V.P. of the company that the interview was over. I wished them the best of luck in locating a candidate that satisfied all their requirements and quickly bailed. The looks on their faces were priceless. Jon P.S. I was logged in but I got interrupted so many times composing my reply that I got logged out automatically. |
