I have a little comment about the part in interwiews I just call here "selling myself". As student I only know one site of the desk, the one close to the door. And what makes me sick is, that you have to behave like a trained monkey. Especially here in Germany, I can't say anything about the rest of the world.
The interwiewer is not or just few interested in your technical skills. More important is that you use special phrases, know everything about the company, love to work 24 hours a day and during the night...
I once did not get a holiday job (programming 8051-uCs) for some reason. The same job got one of my fellow students, who is less skilled in 8051 programming than me. I hope that doesn't sound arrogant, but I study with that guy, and he does not know that much.

So, that's what I think about interviews in general.
