#3360 - RE: What everbody has done ??? |
Interesting to see what some of us have had to "PUT UP WITH" over the years.
I started on a ICL2904 with a teletype and basic, anything else and it was punched cards. I then moved onto DEC DECSYSTEM 20 and PDP11's which I confess I rather liked (anyone in the UK got an old PDP11 they don't want ??) My first micros were 6502 based being the UK designed Acorn Atom and BBC micros, which I expanded in may ways, before moving over to 80X86 systems. I started with my own designed boards using the 6502, then 6802, Z80 (UGH!), and then 68HC11 and 8031. I now only use 8051 variants (mainly Atmel) for my own projects and a few at work which is limited since I work in a test enviroment not design. My projects include Dallas Ibutton based car imobiliser MP3 Player front end for cars (linux and a old pc for the main player) Auto Window/sunroof closer User IF alarm generator (work) 1.5MB/2MB port selector (work) IR remote receiver (RC%) for my Chevy dayvan interior lights etc. to name a few..
