Good idea Babar, very interesting thread.
I began to work with 8051 in 1997, before that I made some things with Z80.
Some 8052 stuff I made or I am currently working on it:

*Remote Control via Motorola Pager: 2* 220v/15A outputs.
*Several Burglar alarms Systems.
*2 Chip 30 Mhz frecuency counter.
*Radioamateur Beacon Controller:CW id and AX25 unproto mode id.
*1 Chip Sync. Data demodulator.
*PLL controller for Ramsey 440 Mhz transceiver with LCD, Memories, etc.
*uP controlled,7 outputs, PC configurable TX-RX secuencer.
*Automatic tuning system for Tubes HF Amplifier (some parts finished).
*High precision 1Mhz-1Ghz RF Wattmeter with frecuency compensation routines(designing now).

I work as paging engineer in a Spanish Nationwide Paging operator and micros are not my area of work but I really love 8051.
I am 33d.
