#36505 - 80C320 Bus Loading |
Hello,
I am working on an 80C320 design, using a 128KB SRAM and 128KB FLASH. Other devices are on the AD bus as well, resulting in approximately 70pF bus loading. The 80C320 is characterized at 80pF, but the AM29F010-45 FLASH memory and CY7C1019B- SRAM are characterized at 30pF. The Dallas app note on memory timing ~does~ mention using fast program memory, but it makes no mention of the memory's ability to drive the bus fast enough when heavily loaded. I would like this design to run at 33MHz with zero stretch cycles. I would rather not partition the bus. Has anyone had any experience with a heavily loaded AD bus? Thanks, Cory Spackman |
