Look for the datasheet of the 74LS297. You need to have a reference clock that has a fixed frequency and use the built-in divider network to set the speed you want; the I/D output then can be used to determine if the speed is to be increased or decreased. Another option is to set the divider to a fixed value and regulate the reference clock, which you could create using a timer. |
