#38190 - RE: PLL motor speed control Responding to: ???'s previous message |
At 4K-5K rpm range I have a feeling that the processing is going to be pretty tough with the 100 PPR encoder. If you do not want a very low RPM and can change to analog this would be one way to go : Use a LM2917 FtoV convertor and feed the encoder pulses to it , scale the output and use any PWM controller like the LM3524. And I believe that you are using H bridge drivers - and it should be possible to interface. OK you will have to arrive at the overall speed accuracy as the F to V convertors do not have fantastic figures when it comes to that. And I think I saw a reply stating that a P-Type controller would do. Being a velocity control would it not require an integrating type ? Bye Raghunathan |
