I use Visio 2000. It is a good product. It is not like WORD or EXCEL drawing in any way shape or form. You are correct that VISIO is pricey. But it can be purchased for much less than retail if you look around. I got my Visio 2000 from an eBay auction for less than $150. Full version in the box with warrenty registration card and serial number.

I may be wrong on my reasons why Microsoft bought out Visio Corporation....but the product is still one fine product!!

BTW....have you driven Visio first hand?
