yeah, i had the same problem with visio. i think you should be able to learn a tool just by playing with it (if it's GUI-based).

nice that you are moving to linux, i have been using unix for 13 years, linux for 10, and love it. got redhat 7.3 and gnome now; i need to upgrade.
