Ok, let's collect them all and put them in FEO (frequently expressed opinion) if Craig will let us have such a slot. Otherwise we may have to let it be an frequent answer to a question unfortunately never asked (why should I NOT use 82.. chips).
Erik You bring up another aspect that correlate with the 82.. use: (FLASH/RAM inside, many port pins) and still 85% (my guess) of the posters fight with parallel programmable/ no ERAM chips, not to mention the use of SRAM as code memory "to avoid UV erasing chips". On that one I do not argue too much, knowing how to apply external code/data memory is still a valuable learnng experience (I am, right now designing with 64k internal code and 2Mbyte external data) |
