Your arguments were well collated and put down against the use of the 8255. Thanks.

The "passion" that a mention of 8255 arouses is so great, that even an attempt of Steve to divert to some "3-wire solution" had no effect!!

I think enough of has been discussed on 8255 that it is now getting undue attention.

( And in the process I dont know what happened to George's LEDs. Anyway I warned him in the beginning itself !)
