that explains it then, If i could only design a gsm modem myself I would be very rich indeed.
the price for gsm modem is just over a 100usd and I need to cut down on prices badly, been looking for gsm chips but they all require you to buy 700,000 pieces +.
There is a cheaper solution to use mobile phones with built in modems, but I couldn't get the modem out of them as a separate unit and it is very bulky to use a whole cell phone although it is half the price of a gsm modem.
Can't you design a gsm modem with 8052 guys?
