Fair enough: in that case, post a question saying, "I read xxx in the datasheet, but I don't quite understand..."
In that way, you demonstrate that you've made some effort and people will be happy to help out

I think my first post was perfectly polite and resonable and free!!
But the subsequent reply strongly suggests that no effort at all had been made to read the datasheets and/or do any work on the information in them. Now that is impolite!
