I'd go with Charles' idea and the PC keyboard - the '52 can handle the keyboard reading, and you CAN buy PC keyboards "laptop" size that are the right size for the job - we do exactly this with a Cherry keyboard which is quite expensive at 25 GBP, but gives a great feel to the equipment.
