I am glad that you could share your experience with this idea. I remember being in second grade naming my characters in Zelda using such an interface. Of course, though, kids learn things very quickly and may think nothing of a restrictive interface. Just look at how much better today's teenagers handle Windows than older adults (present company excluded).

Perhaps customers that didn't spend their boyhoods in front of a CRT playing Nintendo wouldn't care for the posted idea ;)
