#49682 - RE: PUT A into B! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello Rashu,
Putting A into B is not my cup of tea !! Anyway I did see the site that you gave the link for. Tell you what ? Keep away. The LadderWORK standard for 8051 is quoted at 361,000 Euro. I am not sure if there are too many zeroes out there - but I will not dream of buying anything like that to write 8051 code. OK there may be applications demanding such a convenience and the software is a hot cake then. Maybe its me who feels that way about the price. Also I can tell you that when you replace a PLC with 8051 - just go all out. There should be no trace of the PLC except maybe for the output interface relays and 24VDC power supply. In all such conversions I am the king there - MY hardware, MY software. And fine tuning is a breeze - customer wants a change in sequence, a delay here, a warning there - no problem. And particularly with a Flash MCU it is childs play.I know EXACTLY where to tap. As I dont have to explain another guy what I want for him to "ladder" it up for me. ( Another fact is, I dont know Ladder language and I have no intention of learning it also ;-) ) Still want to put the PLC into the 8051 ? ( or is it the other way round ...) Raghu |
