#50005 - PLC vs Microcontrollers Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear michael, Raghu and others
-You guys seems to be masters of the microcontrollers, I am fully convinced that I should switch over to Microcontrollers. I ve to learn the assembly language. I know C++, Visual Basic and Java Programming.I just finished my B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. -At present I am doing My professional practice in a factory where plcs are used to control the equipment. -Our Air compressors are being replaced with new one, My boss say that I should use the latest tech. to control these Air compressors at minimum cost. -In old control panel there are lots of auxiliary relays for safety and control circuits. such as: Oil pressure Switch, Air temperature switch, Stage 1 & 2 solenoids, Air cut in & cut out pressure switches, low press alarms etc. -We have read about plcs in our course. -The main purpose of the plc is to replace "real world" relays. As the plc doesn't care what the actual input or output device actually is. It only cares for its input or an output and the symbols we use for and the ladder logic ............You all know about it. I know only theory. I request you to kindly be more considerate to explain me atleast with one example or so how it is being done in ucontrollers. Please guide me. Thanks once again Rashu |
