You seem to be talking about this starter boxes right from begining - what excactly are you referring to ?

And also the internal relays : Are you referring to the auxilliary relays used in relay logic circuits (like flags in ladder logic or assembly ?)If your answer to this is yes, then Michael has already answered you. If you take the 8051 core you have some 128 bits that can be defined as flags directly to start with.
