#49758 - RE: How u did it Mr. Mahmood ?! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
How did u replaced the plc with a single chip microcontroller ?
I checked all the i/o used for the PLC and designed my microcontroller board to take them as input and output. I used optocouplers for inputs and darlington transistors as output. Did u program it with ladder programming software ? No I programmed it in assembly, wanted to reprogram it in C to compare the two but didn't have the time. I want to reduce relays in the starter box. As far as I know, the plc is the best choice to do it. it is a matter of opinion, a PLC is a microcontroller after all made easier to program on the expense of speed and complexity and cost. So if you are dumb or have no design skills you go to ready made expensive solution Is there any otherway to use the internal relay for the automation? in the old days I guess they used to do what is called contactor logic, it was bulky and complex, with the advances in computers and microcontrollers they introduced the PLC to replace the contactor logic.
