Maybe you are pushing C++ too much. I have as of late never discussed embedded programming without being asked about C++; but I have yet to write ONE line of C++ for an embedded system. The difference between embedded and other programming in addition to what others have mentioned is the finity of resources. "Bragging" aboutt C++ ability usually indicates a lack of concern for resources.
