Anyone that says MCU knowledge is not important simple isn't thinking or isn't clued-in. Sounds like some idiots I know at HighwayMaster.

The HighWayMaster part was right on the head! I just interviewed with HighwayMaster.

HighwayMaster is a bit of a joke in Dallas. The only way they'll ever fix that company is with the firing squad. Qualcomm defeated them years ago and I've nothing but praise for Qualcomm.

Most of the companies around the RichardsonPlano area are in the business of creating high speed switches, routers, wireless products, and other products that require complex processing. Most of the products seem to either use multi-processor Motorola or ARM processors. They all seem to work in team environments so I can see how using an object driven language like C++ would be better.

Those jobs never sounded like much fun to me. No entrepreneurial thrills.

I'm meeting with an independent contractor in north Ft.Worth Sunday and I'll ask him what your local market is like.

You might look at www.mitsi.com - they are a design house off Campbell that does interesting work. A few months ago I could tell you if they were hiring but my friend there left.
