You seem to have quite a background!

The HighWayMaster part was right on the head! I just interviewed with HighwayMaster (who have changed their name probably for the obvious reason) last week.

Most of the companies around the RichardsonPlano area are in the business of creating high speed switches, routers, wireless products, and other products that require complex processing. Most of the products seem to either use multi-processor Motorola or ARM processors. They all seem to work in team environments so I can see how using an object driven language like C++ would be better.

Anywho, It looks like I better try and find the more elusive embedded 'C' position. I sure like the idea of purchasing a development board to create a doggy-door counter, but unfortunatly not one of the companies cares about anything except work done on the job.
