#50153 - What kind of data is to be transmitted?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hallo Harsha,

you didn't tell us, what data is to be transmitted. Is it one byte per hour, or 1MByte per second. Is it unidirectional, bidirectional or multidirectional? Is a 'One Master and 500 Slaves' configuration possible? Is...? Is...? Is...?

RS-485 transciever MAX487 is capable of handling up to 128 transmitters on bus. So, you could arrange your terminals into several groups, each containing dozends of terminals.

Bye,
Kai
