There are RS-485 driver chips from Linear Tech, LTC1487S8, that can drive 256, RS-485 recievers.
Wrong, they are 1/8 unit load transcievers and the increased capability is in the receiver being a smaller load. If you do not have control over all devices on your network you still need to assume that those devices are 1/1 load. Erik |
