If I want to use isolator(optical or magnetic) in DAQ card,where is it better to place?between adc and micro or between micro and rs485 driver ?
If you were to isolate "between micro and rs485 driver" you would need to power the transciever from the other end of the wire. Simply use an isolated transciever such as MAX3158.
