I analyzed the dispute ,I worked with 4-20mA device and designed 4-20mA tranmitter also.But I did not get completely your replies on isolation ,It is better for me that you say clearly that is it better to place isolation between adc and micro or micro and rs485?

(I have seen DAQ cards from some vendors that use isolation between adc and micro,like as www.advantech.com)


BTW:I found IL485 isolated rs485 device from isoloop.
