Hi,
For powering the back-light (which I assume in your case is electro-luminescent since you mention 110VAC), you will need the appropriate driver module - do NOT connect the back-light to regular 110VAC!! These modules convert from 5VDC to a very weak 110VAC - I've never heard of a user being electrocuted ;-). We use 100s of LCDs in our parking equipment - most with LED back-light. OK, it uses current, but you can always turn off the driver transistor after 10 seconds. Regards, Richard |
