I'm pretty sure it's not an LED backlight because:
One terminal is grounded One terminal is open (infinite resistance) regardless of meter polarity to either ground or to the other terminal. So it's either not there (no F tube) at all or it must be the AC type. Wonder if you can use the same AC power they use on those eprom erasers with that special florescant type tube (4W Grmicidal)? Maybe not, it has three working connections on the tube. I bought the LCD's at $4 each, they are the 16X2 I know what the 44780 does, what does the 6407 or 44100 chips do? If anyone knows where some data on the AC type back light power supply is, I still need this data. Thanks Post |
