how much is one of this 12C509 cost? I notice that when I visit those PIC site. But I dump the idea to use 12C509 because it has only 6 I/O ports. And I need at least 11.

and the idea of sharing the in and out is not ok on my purpose, the in port needed to be read in very short peroid of time and the out port change according to the in port.

Can you explain more about 74138? Thanks.
