I can only say that there is no harm in using a Full duplex node if one can afford it ,instead of going into hassels and bassels of transmit enable ,receive enable ,timing etc etc
Of course not but you are limited to two nodes Implementing a multinode network in full duplex would not eliminate any of the above mentioned 'hassles' RS-485 is multinode, 232 and 422 are full duplex point to point. as I stated in an earlier thread: If that is what you want (extending distance by leaving RS-232) what you want is RS-422 which works exactly like 232 but uses a differential bus. The drivers are the same as for RS-485 and thus you will hear gobblygook such as 'full duplex RS-485' which does not exist. Erik |
