If you are designing a pcb, forget about the 6264's as they're pretty well obsolete nowadays. Use a 684000 (also known under different numbers) which are 512k * 8. You might want to include a MAX691 and have it battery backed up. Include some logic so you can bank switch the memory and use some of it as code memory so you can download code via the serial port. Sweet!
