And believe it or not you will learn the most from your own experiences. When you do seek advice it be the most fruitful to you if it is done with two way communication.

It is also necessary for you to take the lead and not wait for the professors and gurus to pull your sled along. There is no doubt that when you go forward, taking the inititive to lead out ahead, that you will make mistakes, but every mistake is something else learned. Sometimes the mistakes will be very puzzling or seem almost impossible to overcome but it is just then that the advice from the professor or guru, in response to a pointed question from you, will be the biggest learning experience of all.
