Kai, whilst I have little interest in the application, your worked example of the forces involved was just the sort of stuff I like to see in these forums - it's always educational to pose a curly question and get a worked example. It's amazing how the numbers get scary when you start to work things out!
It just goes to show anything will bend given enough force!
