#62903 - RE: Deep sea application Responding to: ???'s previous message |
This got my curiosity tweaked!! What is the V2A gadget?
Sorry for being unprecise. I meant the use of stainless steel. I named it 'V2A'. But this is a very certain steel. Exact name in Europe is: X5CrNi18-10 / 1.4301 In America it's called: '304' And in fact, as Steve already stated, 'V2A' steel is NOT a good choose for maritime applications. There are much better stainless steels than simple 'V2A'. Kai |
