If the OP was working on an idea that he eventually wants to protect, discussing it publicly would not be a good idea. Publishing an idea usually makes it impossible to later patent. But on careful reading of the original posting, It's clear to me the OP is concerned that developing this idea might infringe on existing patents, copyrights, and licenses. This is a valid concern, since Postscript is a proprietary language.
