I am back from a nap..
Ya REN should be disabled, actually I borrowed the intialisation code from another app I had written.
The original app I am making needs to get control char from the PC 'T' for transmit ,'S' from PC for status the MC returns 'K' if it's able to communicate.

One thing I needed to ask is if putting all chars I need to transmit in a 'db ' and using movc @A+DPTR is a good idea ?

I would also like to make a proper knowledge base especially on serial comm and making frontend.

Many apps require communication and vb but most beginners are too afraid to jump into it due to lack of facilities and proper guidance .
I would like your opinion and help on the same
This is no give me I have developed lots of such tutorials in the past on different subjects and would like to do similar things now too
