By the way, MARS ROVER is also made by a team. But of course that is not for learning.

A trainer with atleast 3 uPs and several ICs around, such as PLL (Steve), and A/D and D/A converter. Key matrix, some optocoupler usage, alongwith AC power ON/OFF example codes, which user user can access by simple jumper setting or manu selection etc.

That is not a developed idea, but it can be developed.
