Actually, Rauf, I think your idea isn't bad. It must be possible, for the ones who are negatif about it: look at projects at other platforms, like the Multi Arcade Machine Emulator (M.A.M.E.)which is written by several people who not know each other all. Look at Linux, an operating system written by people all over the world.
BUT......
If we are going to develop a platform to experiment with for the "MCS 51" environment with several add on's there must be made several rules to make it a succes (the pieces must fit....).
Keep in mind that making re-usable software often doesn't make it as efficient as it would be if it was written for a particular case. Making building blocks for a microcontroller is a difficult task if you want to easily use things as bzw. the timers in the 8051. If a block already uses it, what do you do with it in another block without disturbing? What I want to say is that you have to have knowledge on the resources all the blocks use and HOW the blocks uses them. But it IS interesting to TRY a project like this. For now we have to find someone who wants to make the rules for the development and keep track of all the information......
